Hi! I'm Alicia
I've loved animals since I was a little girl (especially dogs and wolves!)
I was born in Springfield, MA and raised in Holyoke. I recently moved to Springfield and it has been quite interesting! I love sushi and anime and being a gamer girl. My first pet was a beagle named Snoopy who grew to be 40 pounds!
Background
I have been working with animals for more than 15 years, beginning with my first summer job at a kennel. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats.
I worked for 5 years at a local doggy daycare. While there, I worked closely with my supervisor, who was a graduate of Animal Behavior College (ABC). She trained me in dog behavior, canine body language, dog handling, behavioral cues, and more. I learned so much!
I have my own little fur baby named Phoebe, a 10 year-old Maltese/Papillon mix, who seems to think I cuddle her a bit too much, but she's so cute! We also recently adopted 3 year-old Ollie, a Maltese mix who was rescued from the streets by the kind people at Thomas J. O’Connor animal shelter. He is dearly loved!
I aim to help animals in any way I can and truly am at peace in their presence.
